Gratitude and Next Steps

The heart of Vine is to provide the path for individual faith journeys.

A journey from unbelief to belief.
A journey from addiction to recovery.
A journey from marriage to singleness.
A journey from working to retirement.
A journey from youth to adulthood.
A journey from indifference to reconciliation.

A Journey from exclusion to inclusion.

Over the last year, we have watched with deep gratitude the ways in which people have used Vine to find their way on these and other journeys of faith. From our perspective, it is a testament to God’s continual calling of people into deeper relationships and mission. It is a reminder that God is still at work in the world, specifically the local church.

We know that we are only getting started. Vine currently serves a handful of congregations in our area. There are 246 ELCA congregations in the Twin Cities area. That is more congregations than there are locations of Starbucks, Caribou, and Dunkin Donuts combined.

Each of these churches has a unique ministry to share; steps to provide people on their journey of faith. Our mission is to connect to and reveal those steps so that people can continue to grow and respond to God’s call in their life.

To that end we have created a website that will allow us to add more churches and local ministries in a user-friendly way. In the coming year we hope to expand north of the river and west of I-35. We ask that you would life up our effort in prayer!

We are grateful for the continued support of the Churchwide office of the ELCA, the Saint Paul Area Synod, and Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Foundation. Their generosity enables Vine to provide these new ways of connecting.
