Spiritual Formation

The opportunities in this area explore the ways you partner with God to grow and mature in faith. You can find classes exploring spiritual disciplines and practices, resources you can use in your personal devotional life, and topical studies covering a range of spiritual formation concepts.

    We live in a time where it’s easy to give up on people. Political issues divide us and we wonder where Jesus is in all of that. Together, we’ll explore how faith and civic life connect with a clear Jesus focus: love your neighbor. No class on 10/23. This class is held at the Easter on the Hill location.

    The Sacred Sites Tour offers an opportunity for adults and older youth to learn about Minnesota history from a Native perspective through story- telling and experiencing the sites through silence, meditation, and reflection. The tour is led by Rev. Jim Bear Jacobs. Visited sites surround the Mississippi and Minnesota rivers, which the Dakota refer to as Bdote, or “meeting place of rivers.” The Sacred Site Tour is a collaboration between Prince of Peace, Shepherd of the Lake, Shepherd of the Valley, as well as Christus Victor.

    The enneagram is a powerful tool for transforming our lives and relationships. This class will introduce us to the enneagram, help us discover our type and show us how to start applying this new awareness to our lives. The class will allow time for discussion and questions. A handbook will be provided. Beth Beaty is a certified enneagram trainer and serves at Prince of Peace as Communications Director.

Discover new insights in this class that includes storytelling and video segments as catalysts for conversation. Karen Odegard is an experienced small group facilitator and Kristi Kuhnau has been a leader for the Purposeful Retirement ministry for the past 10 years at SOTV.
